What You’ll Need
- A bucket of warm water
- A few drops of dish soap
- A squeegee
- A microfiber cloth
- Optional: White vinegar
Steps to Achieving Streak-Free Windows
- Prepare the Cleaning Solution
- Fill a bucket with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Stir gently to mix.
- Optional: For extra cleaning power and a more polished finish, add a splash of white vinegar to the solution. Vinegar helps to cut through grease and leaves a streak-free shine.
- Wipe the Window
- Dip your microfiber cloth into the soapy water and wring it out until it’s damp (not soaking wet).
- Wipe down the window thoroughly, covering the entire surface. Don’t worry about getting the cloth too wet—just focus on cleaning off dirt and grime.
- Squeegee Time
- Immediately after wiping the window, grab your squeegee and run it down the window from top to bottom in one smooth, even motion.
- For best results, wipe the edge of the squeegee with a clean towel after each pass to avoid streaks.
- Finishing Touches
- Once you’ve squeegeed the window, use a dry microfiber cloth to wipe away any remaining water or streaks along the edges. This ensures a perfectly clear, streak-free finish.
