So beautiful!

Directions

Mix equal parts of fabric stiffener or white glue with water in a mixing bowl to create a thin paste.
Cover the outside of a balloon or an inverted bowl with plastic wrap to prevent sticking.
Submerge a lace doily in the glue mixture, ensuring it is fully saturated.
Gently squeeze out any excess glue from the doily.
Drape the doily over the plastic-wrapped balloon or bowl, adjusting it to form the desired bowl shape.
Smooth out any wrinkles and ensure the edges are evenly distributed.
Allow the doily to dry completely, which may take several hours or overnight.
Once dry, carefully remove the doily from the mold and peel off the plastic wrap.
Trim any uneven edges with scissors if necessary.

Variations & Tips

To add a personal touch to your lace doily bowls, consider dyeing the doilies in different colors before stiffening them. You can also use metallic or glitter glue for a shimmering effect. If you prefer a more rustic look, try using natural-colored doilies and pair them with wooden or earthy elements in your decor. For a festive touch, embellish the bowls with small beads or sequins. Experiment with different sizes and shapes of doilies to create a collection of bowls that vary in height and width, adding visual interest to your display.
